The Department of Multimedia Design was established in 2004 and enrolled its first cohort of students. The department offers programs including a four-year day program, a two-year day program, and a two-year night program. In the 2012 academic year, the department’s application for the combined master's program in the Digital Content Creative Industry was approved, and enrollment began in 2013. To better meet student needs and align with the overall education system, the two-year night program was discontinued in the 2016 academic year, and a four-year night program was established in the same year.
