Login Department of Multimedia Design, National Formosa University
Due to the broad scope of the digital content industry, the department has identified three major development directions as the foundation of its distinctive features and development plans, with the goal of achieving talent cultivation and industry–academia collaboration. These three development directions are “Digital Audio-Visual Design”, “Digital Game Design”, and “Digital Value-Added Design”. Through the cultivation of professional talent in digital audio-visual design, digital game design, and digital value-added design, the department aims to contribute to the development of the domestic digital content industry and further enhance Taiwan’s international competitiveness in the digital content sector, moving toward a new era of digital content.
The Department of Multimedia Design was established in 2004 and enrolled its first cohort of students. The programs offered include one daytime four-year technical bachelor’s class, one daytime two-year technical bachelor’s class, and one evening two-year technical bachelor’s class. In the 2012 academic year, the department passed the application for the “department–institute integration” master’s program of the Graduate Institute of Digital Content and Creative Industries, which began enrolling students in the 2013 academic year. In response to overall educational system adjustments and to more effectively cultivate talent and meet students’ educational needs, the evening two-year technical bachelor’s program ceased enrollment starting from the 2016 academic year, and an evening four-year technical bachelor’s class was established in the same academic year.
